After spending three years in prison for past crimes. Kazuma Kiryu discovers that Haruka has gone missing, so Kiryu returns to Kamurocho to search for Haruka , only to find out that she has been left in coma after a hit and run incident and that has a newborn son, Haruto. Kiryu travels with the baby to Onomichi Jingaicho in Hiroshima to uncover the mystery of what happened to Haruka during the three-year in prison.

Kazuma Kiryu returns in an action adventure game set in an open world environment, Yakuza 6: The song of life. Released on April 17, 2018 on PlayStation 4 platform. It is similar to that of other Yakuza titles with exploration mixed with arcade style over the top combat and Kazuma Kiryu as the main playable character.
